When is the army ever going to have a true brotherhood? Are the Chumps(Diehard paratroopers) to be blamed? All this big smack about Army strong but what are we really? You can blame the 82nd (the so called deuce, last time i checked 2ID was the Deuce). It seems they strive to be different, they seem to think they are better than other soldier because of what? Jumping off some planes? Running for no particular reason? Wearing "jump"boots doesnt help the cause either, they say its tradition, whatever that is supposed to be. Even look at the whined about the ASU and when everyone started wearing black berets they was the first ones to complain. My assumption that so called paratroopers, who dont like being called soldiers dont have any respect in being soldier and do not have much care for the rest of the army. Overall as soldiers we need to change this atitude especially in the 82nd and airborne community. Paratroopers need to start respecting other soldiers and realize that they are soldiers too and come to the 21st century.
